Beginners Muay Thai

Beginners Muay Thai Class

This class level is designed to introduce fundamental drills, basic offensive and defensive footwork, proper form of punches, kicks, and knees, as well as loads of cardio and conditioning. You’ll learn great techniques as well as blasting out rounds on the kick shields and basic partner drills. This is the class where you don’t have to be a fighter to look like one!

Gear Required: 16 oz Boxing Gloves, Shin Guards, Handwraps.

 

Foundations Muay ThaiFoundations Muay Thai Class

These classes build on the basic skills that are taught in the Beginners Muay Thai classes. You'll start to learn how to put the techniques together to create combos, more technique work, and generally start training at a higher level.

 

Gear Required: 16 oz Boxing Gloves, Shin Guards, Handwraps.

 

All Levels Muay ThaiAll Levels Muay Thai Class

This class has everyone training side by side! From the beginner to the seasoned vet to amateur and professional fighters. Here we'll do various pad and bag training, technique work and partner drills, work strategy used and needed in competition or sparring and dive into clinch work. This class is great for the newer student to see what the next level is like!

Gear Required: 16 oz Boxing Gloves, Handwraps, Shin Guards. Optional: Head Gear, Groin Cup.

 

Intermediate Muay ThaiIntermediate Muay Thai Class

After you’ve put your time in the Foundations and All Levels classes and when you’re ready - you’ll get the OK from the coach to move up to the Intermediate class. If your time or desire doesn’t permit for more, there is no pressure to move up. You are in total control as to how far you take your training. Here you’ll begin to create different higher level combos, get higher level clinch work in, learn to transition between inside and outside techniques, do partner drills, and start light sparring.

Gear Required: 16 oz Boxing Gloves, Handwraps, Shin Guards, Mouth Piece, Groin Cup. Head Gear is optional.

 

Muay Thai ClinchingMuay Thai Clinching Class

Here you'll learn the art of clinching. Clinching is inside fighting where you control the head and arms and strike with your knees and elbows. The class will focus on lots of knees, positioning, sweeps, elbow work and the cardio needed to be successful at clinch work. This class is open to students of all levels.

Gear Required: Mouth Piece, Groin Cup.

 

Foundations Muay Thai Sparring

Foundations Muay Thai Sparring Class

his class is dedicated to the very basics of learning how to spar and fight. If you want to start doing full sparring or fight one day this is a great class to kick it off with! You'll be working with a partner and given a specific set of techniques that you'll work to utilize against your partner in either an offensive or defensive free-style way.Techniques include all aspects of Muay Thai as well as basic strategy. This class is full contact and is done at 20-30 percent power.

Gear Required: 16 oz Boxing Gloves, Handwraps, Shin Guards, Mouth Piece, Groin Cup. Head Gear is optional.

 

Intermediate Technical Sparring/ClinchingIntermediate Technical Sparring/Clinching Class

This class takes training to a whole different level. We focus on loads of sparring and loads of clinching. Here is where our members get to put all their skills together. You'll see fighters preparing for competition as well as non-fighters working Completion of the sparring test and instructor approval is required for this class. These classes are full contact and are done at 40-50 percent power.

Gear Required: 16 oz Boxing Gloves, Handwraps, Shin Guards, Mouth Piece, Groin Cup. Head Gear is optional.

 

Advanced Sparring/ClinchingAdvanced Sparring/Clinching Class

Here is where our amateur and professional fighters prepare for competition and aspiring fighters get tested. A high level of fitness, skill, and experience, as well as instructor approval is required for this class. This class is full contact and done at approximately 80 percent power.

Gear Required: 16 oz Boxing Gloves, Handwraps, Shin Guards, Mouth Piece, Groin Cup. Head Gear is optional but recommended.

 

Kettlebells/Body ConditioningKettlebells/Body Conditioning Class

In this class you will learn the fundamentals of working with various tools like kettlebells, sandbags, Indian clubs, and battle ropes. With a focus on becoming stronger, faster and more movement capable - the aesthetic goals are purely a byproduct. In addition to getting a hard, fun workout, you will learn how to design your own fitness program so that you can virtually train anywhere -with very little or even no equipment.

Gear Required: T-Shirt/Tanktop, Shorts/Workout pants
